465 -- One Talk, Lots of One Talk

May 19 (5/19) in Godsfield -- John 5:19

(For Better or Verse: Each day in 2025 I will begin this Godsfield e-mail with a Bible verse that corresponds with the month (chapter 1-12) and day (verse 1-31) it is sent. This month features a lot of fifth chapters! Those with eyes and ears, let them see and hear.)

John 5:19 "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does."

It's that "I and the Father are one" talk. He brings it up a lot, especially in John's Gospel.

Guess He means it.

Talks a lot about signs and wonders that He can only do because of his Father, with whom He is one.

Pretty sure He means that, too.

He talks about having authority given by His Father to execute judgement, because He and His Father are one.

I know He means that!

And then He says, anyone who hears His word and believes the Father who sent Him has eternal life.

I am eternally grateful He means that!
